Challenge #6 You're a Stitch!!

For this challenge dig out your sewing machine, your Pixie or the good ol' embroidery floss! Whether you decide to machine stitch or do some hand work on your project sewing is required. Above is an example of what you can create if you put your mind to it! (disclaimer - this is not a card made by me - I found the image online).

Challenge # 5 Layers

For this challenge you will be layering...you will need to make a card with at least 5 layers - monotone or not...I can't wait to see how creative you can be!! This lovely card above is a gorgeous example of what can be done with layers...

Challenge #4

Tis the season ~ let's see what you can create using traditional Christmas colors - red and green along with either silver or gold. It can be a layout, a card or something altered.

Challenge 3

Get out your Cuttlebug/Sidekick/whatever you use for dry embossing and show us something you did with your embossing folders and maybe a die cut or two! I haven't used my CB in forever it seems and I have a ton of folders and dies for it... so dust yours off if you've neglected it and show us something on a LO, card, altered item, ornament... your choice. I'm off to finish mine!

Create a holiday themed card or layout or project. That shouldn’t be hard since we have Halloween, Thanksgiving  and Christmas right around the corner. Challenge #5:New Technique/Tutorial

This challenge is all about trying something new. Have you seen a new technique on a blog or in a magazine and you have wanted to try it but haven’t taken the time to do so? Today is the day! Try out a new skill, show it to us and tell us all about it!

I tried out a couple of new things! First, I found these neat little templates made by Clover for making flowers. I put a pin on the back and hot glued buttons on the center, for a cute fashion accessory.

On the new "My Craft Channel", the girls on the DIY Dish show made these cute pin cushion mannequins. I made a few to sell at a craft show.

Who doesn't love a great sketch??? So I'm giving you lots of options to play with. I'm even throwing in tag sketches because I've been wanting to play with tags for awhile and haven't had the time so I thought this would be perfect.

It's Finally Summer Memorial Day Weekend Challenges

Hi sisters!
The weather is finally starting to shape up here in Ohio. Well, this weekend it is; we're expecting more rain all this coming week. Hopefully, you're all getting some summer-like weather now and will over the coming holiday weekend. We know people are busy, so we are running this "weekend crop" from Thursday through Tuesday. You'll be able to link your projects from Thursday at 12:01am EST to Tuesday at 11:59 pm EST.
There are 6 challenges - and everyone should be able to fit their project in somewhere. Please post each project in only one challenge; you can post as many projects in each challenge as you like.

"Think Spring" NSSS Blog challenge weekend - March 10 thru March 13

Well ladies - hope that you all have your crafting mojo on!!! We are looking forward to seeing what you all come up with!! The challenge weekend will start Thursday, March 10th and we will accept submissions until Sunday, March 13th @ midnight. There are 8 challenges!!! We have some awesome prizes too!!! If a project you make fits into more than one of the challenges you need to choose which challenge to submit too - in other words you can not post a project into more than one challenge. The goal is to be very productive so if you want to submit more than one entry in each challenge you certainly can!! Hope this all makes sense to everyone!!!

NSSS "Think Spring" Crop weekend!!!

Okay Ladies - get your scissors sharpened, your adhesive stockpiled and your paper organized!!!!  The next weekend Crop will begin on Thursday, March 10th, 2011.  Sarah and Shawn are the crop organizers.  We will post the challenges on Thursday morning and it will remain open until Sunday, March 13th @ midnight!!!!  We will have a total of eight challenges!!  I cant wait to see what you all come up with!!  Rules ect. will be posted when the challenges are posted!!!!
